Morning Routine Mobile App Prototype

Role: UI Designer & UX Researcher

In my User Experience Design Course at General Assembly (NYC), Morgan and I wanted to come up with a solution that can give people better control of managing their morning habits.

What did we find from our research?

From our interviews with 9 participants, we found some common themes:

  • Unable to maintain consistency for more than 2 to 4 days
  • Getting out the door on time is a primary objective
  • A desire to start off the day with a sense of accomplishment

What did we do with our research results?

We created a persona:

  • Her name is Maya
  • She’s a 28 year old architect that lives in Queens, NY
  • She gets to work late just about every day
  • She hates mornings, but wants to make time for meditation and exercise before she goes to work

We created a problem statement for Maya:
